Welcome to December!

New furries

We have a beautiful new resident to the shelter. She is a 6 year old Russian Blue cat named Nimbus. The woman who brought her in was losing her home and couldn’t take care of her kitty anymore. Nimbus is in great health, is very playful (as you can see) and would bring such joy to any family. If you would like to visit Nimbus please email Tami!

How you can help:

1. We are having serious computer problems at the shelter. Our system is very old and is just about ready for the computer recycling center. Because we are a rural shelter, we need a computer to stay in touch with potential adopters, organizations and supporters. We are asking for donations to help with the purchase of a new computer. A special thank you to Kathie B for getting this fund started!!!

2. It has been cold here and the shelter electric bill is $200 a month for all the space heaters and heat lamps. If you can help us keep the critters warm this year it would be most appreciated.

3. Finally, we just received a check from GoodSearch for all of your “good searches” last year. It has helped us buy some much-needed cat food and we thank you all SO much for helping. Here is the information again for those of you that would like to help the shelter simply by something you do daily: searching!

GoodSearch is a toolbar you download and put on your regular internet browser. Then, instead of going to google.com or another type of search engine, you just type what you want to search for in the GoodSearch box and Tami and the furries will receive $0.01 from GoodSearch for every single search you complete through their toolbar. I installed this a week ago and so far have earned Tami $0.71. This isn’t much, but imagine how much she could get each month if everyone on this email list used GoodSearch and selected Hope4FuzieFaniez their charity.

If you would like to get in on this awesome way to give just by doing something most people do every day (searching for something online) without any cost to you:

1. Go to www.GoodSearch.com

2. Then, under “who do you GoodSearch for” put in: Hope4FuzieFaniez and click verify

3. Then, click Add GoodSearch to your IE, Firefox, or Mac toolbar

4. A new page will appear and you simply click the download button.

5. After it is downloaded to your computer you will then click run to install the program.

6. After it is installed, re-open your internet browser and see your new GoodSearch! Every single time you use it, you give a little bit more to the animals at Fuzie Faniez.

Oh, and many people are concerned with internet security (and rightly so), but GoodSearch is a legitimate company and they do not ask for any information from you to download their software, they do not charge you anything, and they do not take any information from your computer. Basically, the program just allows you to search for the benefit of a charity.

Success stories:

Bounce is one of the best success stories ever. As you know, Hope4FuzieFaniez is a no-kill shelter that firmly believes that there is a home out there for every little creature. Bounce, an Irish wolfhound mix, came to us two years ago. He was seriously abused, big and black and not one person ever came to the shelter to look at him. He was aching for someone to love him but no one ever seemed to notice him, until the Mickey family came. Now he’s living with a real family and is watching football with Gary and getting to sleep in their bed. Bounce got the best gift of all this year, a loving home! Thank you to all of our supporters who allow us to take in dogs like Bounce and care for them until they are able to find their very own forever home.

Last month we showed you a picture of Cowboy Joe, the orange kitty that found a home with Tom. Well, Tom came back and adopted Sparky, shown below, and now Cowboy Joe and Sparky are both in a home where they are loved. Thank you Tom for finding room in your heart and home for one more!
