Welcome to September!

Website

The website is finally complete!  Thank you for your patience and be sure to check out the dogs and cats currently looking for a home and temporary residents that need a little time before they can be adopted into new families.  If you aren’t in a position to adopt please consider sponsoring a resident and ensuring that Hope4FuzieFaniez can continue to provide safe shelter for unwanted animals and those that are at risk of being euthanized for space.  We can’t save them all but with your help we can save more.

Adoptions

We had several adoptions this month!  Cowboy Joe the orange tabby cat, Clairabelle a King Charles cavalier, Clair the chi mix, and Missee and Yvonne the two Pekingese girls from the puppy mill rescue.  Thank you to all the new adopters for giving these guys a second chance and please send us your success stories once they’re settled in to your families!

Bunnies

Soon we will have a few additional animals at Hope4FuzieFaniez.  Rabbits are the 3rd most abandoned animal in the United States and there are relatively few shelters that can accommodate rabbits in this area.  We will be taking in a few house rabbits, getting them spayed/neutered and then finding them good homes for the rest of their lives.  We have two bunnies coming next week from a backyard breeder that literally had over 100 rabbits seized from them.  If you have been thinking about adding bunnies to your home and would like one that is already altered contact Tami.

How you can help:

Garage Sales

Money is scarce for a lot of us right now, but the animals are still in need.  This summer there are a lot of garage sales and many of them have used pet items for sale that we could really use for the shelter animals.  For those garage salers, it would be great if you could pick up a few things for us at garage sale prices and then we can arrange a transport for the donations to the shelter.  What we need most are:  shop vacs, brooms, dustpans, towels, litter boxes, scoops, food/water bowls, carriers, crates, cat/dog beds, pillow cases and blankets.  This is a really great way to help the animals and not spend a ton of money!

Success story: (from Kathie B)

Here are Blue Boy and Woody, two adoptees from Hope4FuzieFaniez animal shelter.  Blue is three years old with the most gorgeous orange eyes I have ever seen, beautiful and a wonderful sweet personality.  Lots of hair to keep up with, but he is worth it.  Woody is five years old and is the son of a feral cat who lived on the ranch -- all of the kittens in his litter were carried away by an owl and Tami rescued Woody from the woodpile where his mother had taken him for safety on a dark and stormy night (hence the name "Woody").  Woody's half brother and sister (Fetch and Button) still live on the ranch as house pets.
